As time passes our skin shows the natural, inevitable signs of aging – wrinkles, sagging, sun damage. But you can counteract those effects with several non-surgical cosmetic procedures available at our practice. BOTOX® and DYSPORT® are used to relax muscles that cause dynamic wrinkling, while soft tissue injectable fillers such as Selphyl®, Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Radiesse®, Artefill®, and Sculptra™ smooth lines and wrinkles and raise sunken areas.
Ulthera® ultrasound treatments and Accent radiofrequency are used to tighten loose or sagging skin; photo facials and laser treatments to restore sun-damaged skin; chemical peels to reduce blemishes, irregular pigmentation, and surface abnormalities; laser hair removes all unwanted hair; and laser treatments improve wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, facial and leg veins.

Liquid Face Lift Association Member Physician. A liquid facelift is a non-surgical procedure that involves the use of advanced dermal fillers (usually in conjunction with BOTOX) to gently lift and contour facial features. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA is a VIP member of the prestigious national Liquid FaceLift Association.
In broad terms, a Liquid Face Lift can be undertaken to accomplish any of the following:
- Gentle lift of individual (or overall) facial features
- Reduced wrinkles, creases, or folds
- Restoration of natural, curved facial contours
- A more rested, energetic look
- A friendlier smile
Results from liquid facelift procedures are usually gradual and can range from subtle to astonishing. It is common for patients who have had liquid facelift procedures to say that they receive compliments on their appearance without others knowing that they have done anything.
A liquid facelift procedure takes less than an hour and is performed in our facilities with local anesthesia. You may return to most of your normal activities almost immediately.
A liquid facelift procedure is tailored to each individual, so pricing depends upon a number of factors, including the extent of loss of collagen, skin laxity, skin damage, color and thickness, individual health, and goals. Please call to schedule a confidential consultation.
Some of the products that Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA uses that are involved in the liquid facelift are BOTOX®, DYSPORT®, Restylane®, Juvéderm®, Selphyl®, ArteFill®, Radiesse®, and Sculptra™.
This radiofrequency procedure tightens skin and reduces the appearance of cellulite. It’s like a hot stone massage; the heat causes the collagen fibrils to contract and it also induces new collagen formation. There is no downtime associated with this treatment, which can be done weekly to maximize results. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA uses it in combination with other modalities to obtain the best results possible.
ArteFill® is a non-absorbable wrinkle filler used to correct smile lines. It is the only FDA-approved injectable smile line treatment of its kind. ArteFill uses a unique dual-acting formula made of a combination of 20% ArteFill Precision-Filtered Microspheres™ and 80% ArteFill Purified Bovine Collagen™. The result is the immediately visible correction of facial wrinkles and folds in as few as one or two treatment sessions with no downtime.
As we age, the natural collagen and elastin fibers supporting our skin break down, creating wrinkles. The ArteFill microspheres replace these aging fibers and induce the body to produce new collagen around the spheres to provide permanent support and volume to the skin, making ArteFill outlast virtually any other wrinkle filler. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA has vast experience using this enduring filler, creating lasting, beautiful, and natural “age-reversal.”
BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles caused by muscle movement. It is injected into the areas around the eyes to reduce crow’s feet, between the eyebrows to prevent that “worried” look, in the forehead and around the mouth to diminish lines, and in the neck to reduce lines and redefine the jawline. Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. It is also used to treat migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.
Irregular pigmentation, fine lines, and acne are conditions treated with chemical peels. The strength of the peel is determined by the problem and type of skin being treated. This treatment can be done on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, and legs. Care of the skin after the peel is enhanced by products Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA has in her office.
This is also a purified protein used to relax muscle movements that cause dynamic wrinkling. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA can help you decide whether Botox® or Dyport® is more appropriate for your treatment.
This acne treatment consists of deep pore purification combined with light to decrease acne lesions and prevent new ones from occurring. Most patients notice at least an 80% improvement from four weekly treatments. The treatment is very well tolerated and package specials are available. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA combines this with other treatments to achieve such excellent results with her acne patients.
This revolutionary microdermabrasion system uses water and jet propulsion technology to whisk away dead skin cells and blemishes. No more dust or particles – instead just relax and enjoy this unique method of improving the texture and appearance of your skin. Different solutions are infused into the skin after it is cleared, so each treatment is individualized according to your skin needs.
Juvéderm™ is an injectable gel that gently reverses many signs of aging in the face, including fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet, thinning lips, and loosening skin. It can also “plump up” the lips, sculpt the cheeks, and restore a youthful oval shape to the face. It is made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that works with collagen and elastin to give volume and support to the skin. Because it is non-animal-based and highly biocompatible, no pre-treatment testing is needed. Results last about 6-9 months and can be made to last even longer with a simple follow-up treatment a few weeks after the initial injection.
The natural consequences of skin aging on our skin include sun damage, freckles, age spots, acne scarring, enlarged pores, and redness caused by broken capillaries and rosacea. Photorejuvenation (photo facial) reduces these signs of aging using non-invasive, painless pulses of light. This light treatment closes down small blood vessels and makes dark spots lift off the skin. It can be safely used on the neck, chest, arms, and legs in addition to the face. This is one treatment that can reverse rosacea, a condition with which Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA is very familiar.
Perlane® is made by the makers of Restylane® and is also a hyaluronic acid product. It is a bit more robust, lasts a bit longer, and is a bit more expensive than Restylane®. This product can be used to enhance volume loss in the cheeks and chin especially. When injected by Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA, this product usually lasts 8-10 months.
This fractionated erbium laser treatment is used for fine lines and wrinkles, to minimize pores, reduce stretch marks, and to treat active acne and acne scars. Because it leaves a ring of normal untreated skin around each lasered spot, the skin heals very quickly, usually in 36-48 hours. There is minimal discomfort and make-up can be applied after two days. The controlled wounding of the skin generates new collagen formation, so results improve as time goes on. Treatments can be done as soon as every two weeks, but waiting longer between treatments is fine as well. Dr. Skellchock, MD, FAAD, PA combines this procedure with the collagen gel which is available only at Integrative Dermatology.
Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips, and shape facial contours. It is a clear, synthetic gel made with hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. It carries little risk of an allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth), around the mouth and chin, and around the eyes. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.
Sculptra™ is a new injectable product used to counteract the loss of fat beneath the skin (a condition called lipoatrophy). Sculptra is injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations, and wrinkles. Its main component is an alpha hydroxy acid that has been used for 20 years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures. The polylactic acid induces new collagen formation in the skin in a natural, gradual way. There is no need for allergy testing. Clinical trials have shown that the benefits of Sculptra treatments can last up to two years.
This is a totally natural process used in the “Vampire FaceLift” to build soft tissue and improve the texture of the skin. Blood is drawn from the vein then it is spun down to isolate the platelet enriched plasma, which is injected skillfully into the skin. Growth factors released from the platelets induce new collagen formation, so this is a gradual process. There is no chance of allergic reactions, and the treatment is virtually painless with very little bruising if any. Prior to this procedure, patients should avoid platelet inhibitors such as aspirin, NSAIDs, alcohol, and Plavix®.
This exciting new ultrasound treatment lifts and tightens skin. By focusing energy at two levels under the skin, this treatment approaches results seen with brow lifts and surgical facelifts, but without the downtime or risks. It takes about an hour of time, preparation is to take Tylenol beforehand, and there is no downtime since the surface of the skin is unaffected. Results improve over time, with only one treatment.
